How do you stay motivated and push yourself in training?

I stay motivated by thinking about the future and how great it will be when I can reach the goals that I have set for myself. Another way I stay motivated is by surrounding myself with positive and motivated people to help push me at training.

Many athletes have pre-game rituals that help them get into the zone. What are some of your personal pre-game rituals or routines that you believe help you get in the zone before hitting the beach or pool?

I like to have a long warm-up and eat and drink as much as I can before my race. I like to surround myself with people from my club and other clubs but also have to talk to my coach about my race plan.

Reflecting on your career so far, what would you consider as the most memorable or defining moment?

My most memorable moment is winning the U13 Female Swim Race at my first ever Aussies. That moment for me was really special as my hard work had finally paid off and it really helped me become who I am today as a racer.

Are there any specific achievements or milestones that you are particularly proud of and that you feel have significantly impacted your journey as an athlete?

I am most proud of making the QLD Team two years in a row. I loved the experience of meeting all the different states competitors and competing against the best of the best.

Beyond your athletic pursuits, do you have any hobbies or passions that might surprise people?

I like going to the beach on weekends with friends or just staying at home and watching a good movie with lots of sweet foods.

How do you balance your intense training and competition schedule with personal interests outside of your sport?

I try to balance and fit everything in my schedule as best as I can but surf sports is known to be a difficult and time consuming sport with lots of commitments, but you have to make sure you enjoy the sport you do.

What are your top 3 ENGINE products (either for racing or training)?

My top 3 engine products is probably the Deck Parka (especially in winter when it is cold on the beach), Santorini's to train in and the Engine Backpack Pro which I use for training and competitions.
