How do you stay motivated and push yourself in training?
I stay motivated by surrounding myself with people who have similar goals to me. I have a great squad where we push each other and train hard to achieve our goals both short and long term.
Many athletes have pre-game rituals that help them get into the zone. What are some of your personal pre-game rituals or routines that you believe help you get in the zone before hitting the beach or pool?
The night before I like to have a pasta meal and chill out and watch a movie. The morning of I am focused and keep to myself, not talking much and listen to music while I watch the surf.
Reflecting on your career so far, what would you consider as the most memorable or defining moment?
Making the Australian Youth Surf Life Saving Team, winning gold in both the Open and U19 Ironwoman at NSW states in the same year.
Are there any specific achievements or milestones that you are particularly proud of and that you feel have significantly impacted your journey as an athlete?
Being selected in the Australian Youth Surf Lifesaving Team, making both finals in the Open Ironwoman at the Shannon Eckstein Summer of Surf, winning gold at NSW State Titles in the same year in the Open and U19 Ironwoman.
Beyond your athletic pursuits, do you have any hobbies or passions that might surprise people?
I work as a casual lifeguard when I'm not at school or training.
How do you balance your intense training and competition schedule with personal interests outside of your sport?
My closest friends are in the sport with me training and competing so I am lucky, but you do need to set aside some down time whenever you can.
What are your top 3 ENGINE products (either for racing or training)?
Santorini one piece (love the colour range) weapon goggles (since day one) and any active wear (super comfy).
