How do you stay motivated and push yourself in training?

Throughout the season I set targets to focus on each session and build on those processes. I am lucky enough to train with some of the best competitors in my age group, both male and female, along with Kingy's senior crew, which push me everyday.

Many athletes have pre-game rituals that help them get into the zone. What are some of your personal pre-game rituals or routines that you believe help you get in the zone before hitting the beach or pool?

Music is always a good way to calm my nerves, or even just going and talking to my coach about the races happening and my race to come. I always tend to sit with my board by myself and work on my breathing as my nerves can get the better of me.

Reflecting on your career so far, what would you consider as the most memorable or defining moment?

One of my most memorable moments would be most recently, I was fortunate enough to win the U15 Queensland ironwomen. I think what made it so special was being able to reset after a disappointing board race before-hand and then coming out and winning in front of my coaches, team-mates and family.

Are there any specific achievements or milestones that you are particularly proud of and that you feel have significantly impacted your journey as an athlete?

A milestone I am proud of would be making the QLD cyclones team this year and get to wear the maroon and white cap and race against the best girls from around Australia on Marourbra Beach NSW.

Beyond your athletic pursuits, do you have any hobbies or passions that might surprise people?

When the surf season is over, I play AFL for club, school and have even been picked to represent South Coast later on in the year, which will be played in Cairns.

How do you balance your intense training and competition schedule with personal interests outside of your sport?

My training squad has basically become my family, so I am grateful to get to see everyone each day. Most of my school friends either do surf or make the time for me when they know I am not training or competing.

What are your top 3 ENGINE products (either for racing or training)?

1. Santorini one-piece, no matter the colour!

2. Engine puffer jacket, you will not see my at a carnival without mine

3. Weapon goggles, black tinted are my go to!
