1. How do you stay motivated and push yourself in training?

I tend to focus more on being disciplined rather than motivated. I love training hard and pushing my body to the limit. I enjoy the feeling of pushing through pains I didn't know that I was capable of.

2. Many athletes have pre-game rituals that help them get into the zone. What are some of your personal pre-game rituals or routines that you believe help you get in the zone before hitting the beach or pool?

I personally don't believe in following any pre-race rituals. I enjoy being relaxed and in flow with my body, mind and environment before racing. As I find the ability to be adaptive and flexible before racing helps me get ready. Giving me a slight advantage with adapting to change.

3. Reflecting on your career so far, what would you consider as the most memorable or defining moment?

My most defining moment wouldn't necessarily be my greatest achievement. I like to think back to where my love for sport first started. My U9 State gold medal in the board race. This race developed a hunger and eagerness to win. When I look back at the end of my career. I will remember how this moment shaped who I am as an athlete and what I wanted to achieve.

4. Are there any specific achievements or milestones that you are particularly proud of and that you feel have significantly impacted your journey as an athlete?

Becoming the third team in history to win back to back board rescues at the Australian Titles is pretty cool. My team mate and I look to become the first team in history to win three in a row.

5. Beyond your athletic pursuits, do you have any hobbies or passions that might surprise people?

One of my hobbies is watching all kinds of sports. As I've watched so much sport, I've developed a talent for remembering history and fun facts about the different sports.

6. How do you balance your intense training and competition schedule with personal interests outside of your sport?

My interests outside of my sport don't really exist. Although I enjoy a breakfast after training or a surf with my mates. I find this is the perfect balance for me.

7. What are your top 3 ENGINE products (either for racing or training)?

Club Cuts, Iron Jammer 3 and my pink Bullet Backpacks are my go-to's.
