Brodie Lee

How do you stay motivated and push yourself during training?

I have two very good mates who keep me working hard at every training. We all push to beat each other as well as keeping up the standard that we want to win team events together so that motivates us.

Many athletes have pre-game rituals that help them get into the zone. What are some of your personal pre-game rituals or routines that you believe help you get in the zone before hitting the beach or pool?

I don’t really have a ritual but I just like to talk and chat to my mates in the marshalling tent to relax.

Reflecting on your career so far, what would you consider as the most memorable or defining moment?

Making the state team in the 2023/24 season and coming 2nd in the iron at interstates. cos that’s always a fun event versing the best of each state and as a WA boy its pretty hard to get a good result like that. It also brought a lot of confidence for the rest of the season and made me enjoy the rest of the season a lot more.

Are there any specific achievements or milestones that you are particularly proud of and that you feel have significantly impacted your journey as an athlete?

Making multiple state teams for WA probably my most favourited but have only competed at 1 Aussies so waiting on some more exciting results in future years.

Beyond your athletic pursuits, do you have any hobbies or passions that might surprise people?

Love golf, some surfing, basketball, water polo I do all these for fun and enjoy every minute of it.

How do you balance your intense training and competition schedule with personal interests outside of your sport?

Currently in year 12 and studying 5 ATARs which is always a difficult juggle as well as school sport with training in some arvo's and games on Saturdays affects my training schedule a lot having to miss some, these school sports being footy and water polo

What are your top 3 ENGINE products (either for racing or training)?

Club Cut surfs, my go to racing cause I like the flexibility rather than jammers for me, also do all my trainings in them. Weapon clears, can never go back to tint after these, feel like you don’t miss out on sunrises at swimming, and sunsets at beach training. And storm weather jacket cause it's comfy and so easy to wear in whatever weather especially the rain.
