How do you stay motivated and push yourself in training?
By keeping it fun, journaling my small achievements and focussing on the next event.
Many athletes have pre-game rituals that help them get into the zone. What are some of your personal pre-game rituals or routines that you believe help you get in the zone before hitting the beach or pool?
I like to rewatch the Nutri-Grain series leading up to my events and make sure I have a good meal and sleep. On the day of an event, I try to stay relaxed and enjoy a laugh with my mates on the beach.
Reflecting on your career so far, what would you consider as the most memorable or defining moment?
Winning three medals at Aussies 2023, the silver in the surf race being my favourite memory.
Are there any specific achievements or milestones that you are particularly proud of and that you feel have significantly impacted your journey as an athlete?
After Aussies 2023, I set some new goals to focus more on my swimming and I feel that I have really worked hard to achieve this and I am proud of that.
Beyond your athletic pursuits, do you have any hobbies or passions that might surprise people?
From a young age I have always journaled my training sessions in whatever sport I am playing, and I love playing AFL football.
How do you balance your intense training and competition schedule with personal interests outside of your sport?
I have limited time, so I have to be really organised and plan ahead luckily a lot of my mates have similar schedules to me.
What are your top ENGINE products (either for racing or training)?
Deck Parka, Iron Jammers, Engine Backpack Pro and Mesh Backpack.
