How do you stay motivated and push yourself in training?

I stay motivated and push myself at trainings by surrounding myself with a really positive bunch of people in the pool and at surf trainings. I like hanging out with the older kids as they are a lot faster than me which helps me to get faster and push myself even harder. Setting my goals for the season is a great way for me stay focused and determined.

Many athletes have pre-game rituals that help them get into the zone. What are some of your personal pre-game rituals or routines that you believe help you get in the zone before hitting the beach or pool?

My Pre-race rituals that help me get into the zone before carnivals are – having a big bowl of carbonara to fuel up for the next day. Going down to the beach I’m racing at the day before and having a play in the waves. I have always loved having a good chat to my mates to take my mind of the races whilst under the tents.

Reflecting on your career so far, what would you consider as the most memorable or defining moment?

The most memorable moment in my career would definitely be coming back from a broken foot in the 23/24 season and then going on to win States and Aussies in the ironman.

Are there any specific achievements or milestones that you are particularly proud of and that you feel have significantly impacted your journey as an athlete?

The highlight achievement for me would be making the QLD cyclones team and getting 3rd in iron racing the age group above. Another milestone would be winning Aussies iron after such an unpredictable season.

Beyond your athletic pursuits, do you have any hobbies or passions that might surprise people?

I have lots of other hobbies outside of surf lifesaving and swimming. I love going fishing, hanging out with friends, surfing, playing and watching a good game of rugby.

How do you balance your intense training and competition schedule with personal interests outside of your sport?

I am still learning how to balance my heaving training schedule throughout my school work, but I love to set and get into a good routine so I don’t miss training whilst getting school work done.

What are your top 3 ENGINE products (either for racing or training)?

My top three engine would have to be the – iron jammer 3 for racing, club cuts and bullet googles.
