How do you stay motivated and push yourself in training?

My coaches and training squad help me stay motivated day-to-day. Reminding myself of the end goal also keeps me motivated especially when things get tough.

Many athletes have pre-game rituals that help them get into the zone. What are some of your personal pre-game rituals or routines that you believe help you get in the zone before hitting the beach or pool?

I don't have any specific 'rituals' but I always like to do a really long warm up and spend some time by myself before the big races.

Reflecting on your career so far, what would you consider as the most memorable or defining moment?

Getting awarded the Dean Mercer Memorial trophy in the open ironman at Aussies 2023 was pretty special. However winning the 2024 NSW open ironman is my biggest win to date.

Are there any specific achievements or milestones that you are particularly proud of and that you feel have significantly impacted your journey as an athlete?

There have been lots of little milestones which have shaped me into the athlete and person I am today. Making my first open NSW team was pretty cool, but my first Aussie gold medal in the U17s is what really gave me the itch to give this sport a good crack.

Beyond your athletic pursuits, do you have any hobbies or passions that might surprise people?

Studying full time at university and working at a function room keeps me busy outside of training, but in my free time I love to surf and spend time with my mates.

How do you balance your intense training and competition schedule with personal interests outside of your sport?

Balancing training, studying, work (and everything else) is made much easier because I absolutely love what I do. However I find sticking to a routine makes it easier to stay on top of everything. Finding balance is something I do struggle with though and is something I am constantly trying to improve at.

What are your top 3 ENGINE products (either for racing or training)?

Iron Jammer 3's for racing (always), Engine rashies are my favourite for training in the surf and Weapons.
