How do you stay motivated and push yourself in training?
By making Short and long term goals helps me keep myself motivated, as well as surrounding myself with like minded athletes and people to help me push myself through the season and training in general.
Many athletes have pre-game rituals that help them get into the zone. What are some of your personal pre-game rituals or routines that you believe help you get in the zone before hitting the beach or pool?
I like to have the same breakfast before race day, as well as keeping the same warm up.
Reflecting on your career so far, what would you consider as the most memorable or defining moment?
Being able to represent Australia for both SLS and Pool rescue as well as kayking. But also meddling in Individual races and team races at the past 3 Australian titles.
Are there any specific achievements or milestones that you are particularly proud of and that you feel have significantly impacted your journey as an athlete?
Being an U/17 and qualifying to race in 3 open irons at the Shaw and partners Summer Of Surf, this gave me the ability to experience what its like racing up with open ironwomen. Also being selected in Junior Worlds team for Kayaking to race over in Bulgaria.
Beyond your athletic pursuits, do you have any hobbies or passions that might surprise people?
I enjoy going to the beach with friends.
How do you balance your intense training and competition schedule with personal interests outside of your sport?
By creating a routine really helps me make time for my year 12 study as well as training and seeing friends.
