How do you stay motivated and push yourself in training?
I am always looking to improve myself in each discipline and also develop better skills! The drive to do this adds to becoming a better racer which I look forward to the most!
Many athletes have pre-game rituals that help them get into the zone. What are some of your personal pre-game rituals or routines that you believe help you get in the zone before hitting the beach or pool?
The night before I lay out all my gear for the following day packing at least double of everything just in case of emergencies! On race day though I like to go for a 3km swim warm up before the beach then roll through on the board and ski at the beach!!
Reflecting on your career so far, what would you consider as the most memorable or defining moment?
Most memorable moments would be representing Australia at the Junior World Open Water Championships coming 20th in the world, and winning an Aussie gold medal with my best mate!
Are there any specific achievements or milestones that you are particularly proud of and that you feel have significantly impacted your journey as an athlete?
Winning u19 Aussies board rescue with my best mate, 4x Australian Champion in open water and making multiple Aussie Iron finals!
Beyond your athletic pursuits, do you have any hobbies or passions that might surprise people?
Movies, running and love hanging out with family and friends!!
How do you balance your intense training and competition schedule with personal interests outside of your sport?
Balancing training with Uni is very tough but the most important thing is to always stay on top of the work load by using every spare minute wisely!
