How do you stay motivated and push yourself in training?
I set goals at the beginning of the season, then reflect on these each month. I train with friends so that helps push me along on the tough days. I love what i do so training is fun.
Many athletes have pre-game rituals that help them get into the zone. What are some of your personal pre-game rituals or routines that you believe help you get in the zone before hitting the beach or pool?
I eat the same breakfast, pack my bag the night before, always get my Mum to plait my hair and after my warm up i like to sit on my own watching the surf and races before me.
Reflecting on your career so far, what would you consider as the most memorable or defining moment?
My highlight so far was coming second in my board race at NSW State 2023.
Are there any specific achievements or milestones that you are particularly proud of and that you feel have significantly impacted your journey as an athlete?
I won the board at Country this year which makes it 4 years in a row. It was a dream at the beginning of the season so i focused really hard on my starts and finishes.
Beyond your athletic pursuits, do you have any hobbies or passions that might surprise people?
I enjoy surfing with my friends and I also like to cook.
How do you balance your intense training and competition schedule with personal interests outside of your sport?
I have a set routine but i am also very lucky my best friends also do this sport so we hang out even on my chill days.
