How do you stay motivated and push yourself in training?
My friends at training push me to work harder, and I know the reward for pushing myself in training is that when I compete, I perform really well.

Many athletes have pre-game rituals that help them get into the zone?I have a playlist I like to listen to that keeps me relaxed but also motivates me. At marshalling, I like to be social with friends, but once I’m behind the blocks or on the start line, I switch into focus mode.

Reflecting on your career so far, what would you consider as the most memorable or defining moment?

When I was only 8 years old, I was a basket handler at the Queensland State Swimming Championships when Ariarne Titmus swam the 1500m Freestyle. After her race, she gave me one of her gold medals and told me to keep it somewhere special and remember that one day I could have my own. Since then, I’ve gone on to win many state medals in both swimming and surf lifesaving. Dream big, work hard, and anything is possible.

Are there any specific achievements or milestones that you are particularly proud of and that you feel have significantly impacted your journey as an athlete?

Winning the 400m Freestyle at the Queensland School Swimming Championships and becoming Queensland Champion was a huge milestone for me. It gave me so much confidence and showed me what I can achieve when I work hard.

Beyond your athletic pursuits, do you have any hobbies or passions that might surprise people?

I enjoy playing other sports at school such as water polo, AFL, and touch. I also love singing and have been teaching myself to play the piano.

How do you balance your intense training and competition schedule with personal interests outside of your sport?

I’m lucky to be part of an elite athlete program at school with an amazing mentor who helps me balance school, sport, and life. My mentor is also teaching me how to set this up for myself so I can manage it independently in the future.

What are your top 3 ENGINE products (either for racing or training)?
1. Santorini swimmers – they’re durable and fun for training.
2. Bullet goggles – comfortable and clear for racing.
3. Women’s hoodie – perfect for keeping warm before and after training.
