  1. How do you stay motivated and push yourself in training?

I like to set goals, and I know training hard will help me reach my goals. I have a great coach, and she keeps me motivated.

  1. Many athletes have pre-game rituals that help them get into the zone. What are some of your personal pre-game rituals or routines that you believe help you get in the zone before hitting the beach or pool?

Do a good warm up then I like to sit and chat to my coach. Just before I race, I focus and take some big deep breaths.

  1. Reflecting on your career so far, what would you consider as the most memorable or defining moment?

Achieving 2 gold, 3 silver and 5 bronze at my first QLD state swimming championships.

  1. Are there any specific achievements or milestones that you are particularly proud of and that you feel have significantly impacted your journey as an athlete?

Breaking Grant Hackett's 1993 record in the 400m freestyle.

  1. Beyond your athletic pursuits, do you have any hobbies or passions that might surprise people?

I also play water polo and Rugby.

  1. How do you balance your intense training and competition schedule with personal interests outside of your sport?

When not competing on the weekends I like to spend time with my family either going on our boat, kicking the footy or playing basketball with my brother. I'm pretty lucky I get to train with my friends, so I see them every day. I catch up on schoolwork over the weekend as I train most mornings and every afternoon.

  1. What are you top 3 ENGINE products (either for racing or training)?

Iron Jammer 3 for competing at nippers, Puffer Jacket to keep me warm after and in between competing, Club cut pool logo swimmers for my pool training.
