How do you stay motivated and push yourself in training?

Staying motivated throughout my career would be brought on by the love for the sport and the passion I have to be the best possible athlete I can be and just enjoying the process and the friendships I have will people all through the sport.

Many athletes have pre-game rituals that help them get into the zone. What are some of your personal pre-game rituals or routines that you believe help you get in the zone before hitting the beach or pool?

Some pre game rituals I have and have developed over the past few years have just been to find what keeps you calm and composed before a big day of racing and I still don’t think I’ve full found my balance with pre race rituals cause it is always changing but it is definitely something that plays on my mind and something that is constantly improving throughout my career.

Reflecting on your career so far, what would you consider as the most memorable or defining moment?

My most defining moment in my career thus far would be making the move
from NSW to QLD and saying goodbye to my friends and family down south. It defined me as a human and brought me to realisation on how much your family and friends really care about you and how much they have an impact on your career.

Are there any specific achievements or milestones that you are particularly proud of and that you feel have significantly impacted your journey as an athlete?

One of my main achievements that i am proud of would be winning the Matthew Barclay Memorial Trophy (U15 Iron). Another achievement I am most proud of would be winning the U19 Swim teams as a first year U17 athlete and contributing to the Wanda Boys winning three years in a row.

Beyond your athletic pursuits, do you have any hobbies or passions that might surprise people?

Some hobbies and passions that i have outside of clubbies would be Surfing, mountain biking, working on cars, spending time with family and friends, traveling and spending money.

How do you balance your intense training and competition schedule with personal interests outside of your sport?

I try to balance my training with personal interests by hitting my recovery properly and making sure that whatever happens at training stays at training and I try not to bring it into my personal life too much.

What are your top 3 ENGINE products (either for racing or training)?

1. Black Engine puffer jacket is a must have item for me.
2. Weapon goggles clear or tinted depending on sun direction on race day.
3. A new favourite of mine is the Ultra Backpack in Black.
