How do you stay motivated and push yourself in training?
I stay motivated by having an amazing squad around me that push me. I also have the best coaches that make me exceed expectations and meet goals.
Many athletes have pre-game rituals that help them get into the zone. What are some of your personal pre-game rituals or routines that you believe help you get in the zone before hitting the beach or pool?
I close my eyes and have a look and try to visualise the race i want to do. I always try to have energy gels before races and a Beroca in the morning.
Reflecting on your career so far, what would you consider as the most memorable or defining moment?
My most defining moment would be winning the open Ironman at Hayden kenny classic. It gave me confidence for the rest of the season to push myself and bring it to the opens.
Are there any specific achievements or milestones that you are particularly proud of and that you feel have significantly impacted your journey as an athlete?
A defining moment that got me where I am today would be winning state board race 3 years In a row.
Beyond your athletic pursuits, do you have any hobbies or passions that might surprise people?
I am a Mathematician.
How do you balance your intense training and competition schedule with personal interests outside of your sport?
I manage my workload based off what I have in the coming weeks and how I am feeling. I balance commitments outside of surf by organising myself earlier.
