How do you stay motivated and push yourself in training?
I set clear, attainable goals for every session as having a goal in place gives me something to strive towards improving each session and keeps me motivated and accountable.
Many athletes have pre-game rituals that help them get into the zone. What are some of your personal pre-game rituals or routines that you believe help you get in the zone before hitting the beach or pool?
Definitely, for me, listening to music before a competition/ in the warm up is something I always do.
Reflecting on your career so far, what would you consider as the most memorable or defining moment?
The most memorable moment for me was competing for the Youth Australian team for the Lifesaving World Championships in Italy; it was my first time being a member of an Australian team and racing internationally.
Are there any specific achievements or milestones that you are particularly proud of and that you feel have significantly impacted your journey as an athlete?
Being selected in the Youth Australian team to compete in Italy for the Lifesaving World Championships
Beyond your athletic pursuits, do you have any hobbies or passions that might surprise people?
Not really.
How do you balance your intense training and competition schedule with personal interests outside of your sport?
I keep things in perspective by planning my week so that I have time for training/competitions, and then working around that to make sure my interests outside of sports—like walking my dog on the beach—are maintained.
What are your top 3 ENGINE products (either for racing or training)?
Capri tie back top, Brazilia edge top and the microfiber towels.
