Where It All Started
I have been swimming since I fist became conscious, a close friend of mine mentioned to me trying surf club at around 13. I went and did a board session with Wanda, never been in surf, got rescued 3 times and never quit.
The Journey Nobody Sees
Perseverance and hard work. I’m not a genetically gifted or talented athlete, I just keep showing up.
Your Greatest Moments
Finishing the Collongatta Gold in top 6. Walked into the race with little to no training due to injury and put on a performance which I’m extremely proud of, it’s not my highest finishing or most accomplished but it was the one that meant the most to me.
Beyond the Sport
I am an accredited building surveyor. I love construction and wanted to do something in the industry. An old head at Wanda SLSC asked me to come for a ride along to see what he does and I’ve never looked back. It fits in almost too well with my training schedule.
