How do you stay motivated and push yourself in training?
I like to picture little me sitting down watching all these big guns like Cate Campbell swim, inspiring me to have dreams just like theirs when I grow up.
Many athletes have pre-game rituals that help them get into the zone. What are some of your personal pre-game rituals or routines that you believe help you get in the zone before hitting the beach or pool?
Some pre-game rituals I like to do before hitting the pool is I like to take 3 jelly beans with me into marshalling while listening to hyped up music.
Reflecting on your career so far, what would you consider as the most memorable or defining moment?
I would consider the most memorable part of my career so far being able to achieve 1st at Nationals in 100m Backstroke.
Are there any specific achievements or milestones that you are particularly proud of and that you feel have significantly impacted your journey as an athlete?
Breaking Kaylee McKeowns record at a local meet in 200 IM is a specific achievement that I am proud of as it impacts my journey as an athlete to keep striving for the best possible outcome of my career.
Beyond your athletic pursuits, do you have any hobbies or passions that might surprise people?
Other than swimming I love camping at Agnes Waters and surfing there.
How do you balance your intense training and competition schedule with personal interests outside of your sport?
Balancing out my training and competition schedule with personal interests tends to be quite difficult however, normally if I have a big competition coming up I tend to focus on it more but when it’s not I like to enjoy my interests on weekends and holidays.
