How do you stay motivated and push yourself in training?

I make it a habit to set weekly goals for myself, fuelling my determination. Plus, the solidarity of training with friends adds an extra layer of motivation.

Many athletes have pre-game rituals that help them get into the zone. What are some of your personal pre-game rituals or routines that you believe help you get in the zone before hitting the beach or pool?

Before every competition, I have a ritual of opening my motivation jar, drawing out a quote to set the tone for the day. And as I make my way to the competition, I listen to my playlist that ignites my competitive spirit.

Reflecting on your career so far, what would you consider as the most memorable or defining moment?

One of my most memorable moments so far would have to be winning the u15 ironwomen at the summer of surf in Bondi or Aussie board final in u15.

Are there any specific achievements or milestones that you are particularly proud of and that you feel have significantly impacted your journey as an athlete?

A milestone of mine was to be racing in the open board semi last year. Having so much time off with my shoulder injury and to be able to compete with the best kept me motivated and was one of my set goals I didn’t think I would achieve.

Beyond your athletic pursuits, do you have any hobbies or passions that might surprise people?

A hobby of mine is scuba diving I think that would surprise people.

How do you balance your intense training and competition schedule with personal interests outside of your sport?

By establishing a routine, I manage to find time for my family and friends.
